Valerie Bolling

Valerie Bolling is an author and educator from Connecticut, deeply passionate about creating stories in which all children feel seen, heard, valued, and validated. She is the author of six celebrated picture books, including the SCBWI Crystal Kite Award-winning LET’S DANCE!, the Kirkus Prize-nominated TOGETHER WE SWIM (2023), and I SEE COLOR, a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection. Her other books—TOGETHER WE RIDE, RIDE, ROLL, RUN: TIME FOR FUN!, and BING, BOP, BAM: TIME TO JAM!—bring joyful rhythms and inclusive messages to young readers.
 

In addition to her picture books, Valerie is the creator of the RAINBOW DAYS early reader series for Scholastic Acorn. She finds immense joy in sharing her stories with children and inspiring them to write their own.
