Kyle Mendenhall
Lexington Book Festival Board Chair
Kyle Mendenhall serves as Chair of the LBF. For nearly 30 years, he has dedicated his career to advocating for individuals with special needs. He is passionate about the Lexington community and works to bring new authors to the festival each year, inspiring readers to explore new perspectives and participate in engaging discussions.
Dawn Marion Hudgins
Lexington Book Festival Board Member
Dawn Marion Hudgins serves as Chief Experience Officer at ILTA (International Legal Technology Association), leading experience events, and international strategy for a global community of over 26,000 legal technology professionals. Alongside her corporate career, Dawn is a prolific author of 16 books, including two historical fiction novels set in the American South, Without Regret and Light of the Crescent Moon, the business title Resilience Resolution, and thirteen children's books, five of which are award winning. She is also a mixed media visual artist with work exhibited in NYC, Miami, Venice, Dubai, Munich, Basel, and at the Louvre in Paris. Dawn grew up in Davidson County and now lives in High Point, North Carolina.
Jordan Winfrey
Lexington Book Festival Board Member
Jordan Winfrey serves as Grant Specialist on the Board of Directors. She is also an elementary school teacher with a passion for literacy and lifelong learning. She believes that books have the power to inspire, educate, and connect people, and she is especially dedicated to fostering a love of reading in children. As a member of the Lexington Book Festival Board of Directors, Jordan is committed to promoting literacy and creating opportunities for readers of all ages to discover the joy of books and storytelling.
Angie Steinberg
Lexington Book Festival Board Member
Angie Steinberg is an educator, a wife, a mom and a book lover. She currently teaches 8th grade ELA at North Davidson Middle School but has taught 3rd grade through college freshmen over the past twenty-something years. She is excited to be a part of a group that brings books, authors and readers together and believes all books should be accessible.
Erin Kilcullen
Lexington Book Festival, Board Member
Erin Kilcullen has spent 28 years in education as a School Counselor. She is a wife and a mom. When she’s not playing “taxi driver”, she loves reading different genres including fiction and PD (personal and professional development). She strives to instill a love of reading for her own children and her students. She likes reading the old fashioned way via actual books; she hasn’t gotten into audio books yet because she thinks her mind will wander and she’ll miss details. She also loves to crochet and watch her boys play sports. Erin is currently serving on the board as the Treasurer.
Gregory Maus
Lexington Book Festival Board Member
Gregory Maus is the Bookkeeper of the Lexington Book Festival. He has somehow managed to get paid over the years as a national security intelligence analyst, professional gamemaster, and business processes consultant. He has presented on analytics and surveillance developments to audiences at the Pentagon and MIT. He was the writer and editor for horror podcast On the Threshold and is the author of several short stories.
Sierra Sink

Sierra Sink is a certified North Carolina public librarian with an MLIS From UNC Greensboro and owner of Dewey & Darlings Creative, where she combines her passion for storytelling, literacy, and book arts to create engaging educational experiences for all ages. She believes everyone deserves opportunities to discover stories that inspire curiosity, foster connection, and cultivate a lifelong love of reading.
Rosa Villacorta
Lexington Book Festival Board Member
Rosa Villacorta is a Honduran-born author, business owner, community advocate, and founder of Connecting Through Culture, a nonprofit dedicated to building stronger, more inclusive communities through arts, culture, and meaningful connections. As a mother, immigrant, and bilingual community leader, Rosa is passionate about creating opportunities that help children and families feel represented, supported and connected.
