Angela Frith

Chair

A native of Davidson County, Angela Frith holds a BA in Art History and Political Science from Duke University and an MA in Education from UNC–Chapel Hill. She works as a K-12 curriculum developer and enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling. 

Joan Dalusung

Vice Chair and Venue Coordinator

Joan Dalusung is a native North Carolinian with undergraduate and master's degrees from UNC–Chapel Hill. She proudly worked in public libraries in Northern and Southern Nevada for 25 years before recently returning to her home state. Joan has experience working with the formerly named Vegas Valley Book Festival and was a member of the selection committee for the Nevada Writer's Hall of Fame from 2018 to 2022.

Daniel Everhart

Secretary and Author Coordinator

Daniel Everhart has worked as an educator for over 20 years and is currently a Media Specialist for Davidson County Schools. He feels honored to share his love of reading with his students and especially his son, Jax.

Sedley Abercrombie

Author Coordinator

Sedley Abercrombie is an educator, a librarian, and a cat mom. As a life-long reader, she began dreaming of owning a bookstore one day in the third grade. With encouragement from her daughter, Emma, they launched Pig City Books, LLC, in 2021 and opened their brick and mortar location in the summer of 2022.

Kivi Leroux Miller

Treasurer and Marketing Advisor

Kivi Leroux Miller is the founder and CEO of Nonprofit Marketing Guide LLC. She's authored three books used as texts in numerous university degree and certificate programs on nonprofit management. A native Californian who graduated from UC Berkeley, Kivi has lived in Davidson County for the last twenty years, where she and her husband have raised two daughters, both elementary Battle of the Books team members. She enjoys baking, gardening, local foods advocacy, and kayaking.

Kristi Allred

School Liason

Kristi Allred is the school library media coordinator at North Davidson Middle School. She also serves on the boards of the Friends of the Lexington Library and Grace Foods Ministry. She lives in Lexington with her husband, Wes, and two children.

Bonnie Baity

Volunteer Coordinator

Bonnie Y. Baity graduated from Elon College with a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She retired from Guilford County Public Health in 2019 and is an avid reader. She lives in Thomasville, NC.

Crystal Holcomb

Children's Program Coordinator

Crystal Holcomb is a 2017 graduate of Catawba College. She currently lives in Lexington and spends her days teaching tiny humans.

Michelle Wyatt

Fundraising Coordinator & Children's Program Coordinator

Michelle Wyatt is a retired preschool teacher. She has spent many happy hours sharing stories with preschool children. She lives in Lexington and spends her free time reading, enjoying the outdoors, and cheering on her Appalachian State Mountaineers!
