Kelley Shinn

Kelley Shinn, a writer residing on the serene Ocracoke Island, is the author of the debut memoir The Wounds that Bind Us, published in 2023. Her raw and compelling writing reflects the complexities of personal healing and connection. Currently, Kelley is finishing a second memoir focused on the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, a project supported by an Artist's Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council.
 

Her work has been featured in prestigious publications, including The New York Times, Fourth Genre, and Intima: A Journal of Narrative Medicine, where she continues to share her unique voice and stories with readers.
